Directing
Hannah is a skilled director, whose work has toured nationally, and spans in genre from highly atmospheric thriller in Theatre to light hearted Stand Up comedy.
As an Artists whose practice begins with imagery, and feeling, the atmosphere of a story is one of the most tangible elements of her work. She enjoys collaborating with new and seasoned actors alike, giving time to character and ensemble to create visually charged stories.
She coaches actors for auditions, and is a freelance workshop facilitator for character and story development.
Devising & Dramaturgy
As an experienced devisor and dramaturg, Hannah relishes making work from scratch with others. She has also worked many times on helping groups or solo performers find their piece within them, or give shape to a piece already in the making.
Her background in comedy has brought her to work as dramaturg for several stand up comedians, and Theatrically her background in story-telling and visual art has honed her skills in establishing work that drives the mood and imagery of a text.

When none of its suggestions for emotional closure seem to land, the AI model generates a series of 'Romantic Accountability Avatars', her Ghosts of Dating’s Past. As past matches, situationships, and even relationships materialise in her bedroom, Em is forced to confront her own attachment patterns.
This piece looks at the commodification of our basic need for connection, learning to sit with your feelings rather than retreating into intellect, and the effects of turning to an app instead of a fellow human being.
